About Cypress Creek Utility District

Cypress Creek Utility District was created by the 61st Legislature on May 6, 1969, and operates pursuant to Chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code. The District contains approximately 488 acres of land.

The District is empowered, among other things, to purchase, construct, operate, and maintain all works, improvements, facilities, and plants necessary for the supply of water; the collection, transportation, and treatment of wastewater; and the control and diversion of storm water. Water for Cypress Creek Utility District is produced from three water wells and is distributed throughout the District to homes and commercial developments. In August, 2010, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality awarded the District a Superior water supply rating. The District is also responsible for the maintenance of the sanitary sewer collection lines.

Cypress Creek Utility District (CCUD) proudly serves the Norchester and Mills Walk neighborhoods. CCUD provides water service, sewer and solid waste disposal services via service provider Water Environmental & Technical Service, Inc (WETS).

The District operates under the Texas Water Code with administrative oversight by the Texas Water Commission.
